[Warning: though the health effects of what follows may be spectacularly positive for many people, this is for information purposes only and does not constitute a recommendation.  Consult with your doctor before making any changes to your exercise, diet, or any medications your doctor has already prescribed. It’s also a good idea to flag pages of interest to you, in the books mentioned below,  for further discussion with your doctor.]

One of the reasons people begin paying attention to their health status is because they receive a sudden, and largely unexpected, but logical, wake-up call.

It could be in the form of a heart attack, stroke, loss of memory, etc. Just to be clear, these types of wake-up calls are the ones you wish nobody would ever receive. Yet, MILLIONS of Americans/Canadians are receiving them every year. Obviously, it is not something you would want to happen to you, your friends, your loved ones, especially not to your children. What can you do?

The chart below presents an extensive collection of books you may want to begin reading. If you plan to do so, a great starting point would be the books in Column 2.

For those who need to lose weight and return their arteries to good health once again, following a serious wake-up call event, such as a stroke or heart attack, I’d encourage you to read both books in column 2.

Let me leave you with this concluding statement:

The strategies in the books in column 2 will likely help you to succeed at achieving your SHORT- and LONG-TERM nutrition-based health goals, (where, “short-term” can be as soon as several weeks;  long-term can be greater than 5 to 7 years).  As you read these books,I’d encourage you to underscore the points most important to you, for they may also be of interest to your doctor, too.

  1. This list of diseases is a sampling from those diseases mentioned in the books cited in column 2 and 3. You may be arming yourself with valuable information that is worth sharing with your loved ones and friends…even your doctor.
  2. Diets often fail for many reasons, among which a popular reason is, “I got tired of being hungry all the time.” The STARCH SOLUTION provides the solution to that problem. There is no need to ever be hungry. The food is among the most enjoyable to eat. No worries about calories and portion sizes. And you can eat as many times throughout the day and evening as you feel the desire to do so.
  3. Though the list of books in Column 3 is extensive, it is not intended to be a definitive list of  medicine-, and nutrition-based scientific evidence for these nutrition strategies.  presented. in these books. My motivation for compiling this list was one of fascination with the fact that a number of the authors, (doctors and researchers), arrived at a similar conclusion while doing so independently of each other. It was after they had a number of peer-reviewed published scientifically sound, evidence-based articles that they learned of each other’s works. But for us readers, this collection just might be the backbone of a our library on the subject of health through nutrition.
